Why Movable Type and not WordPress? Because I’ve tried WordPress and I wasn’t impressed with the continuous upgrades and the overall use. I’ve used Movable Type for years and it has always been a very stable setup. Once everything is installed and configured there’s no need to maintain the system except for the usual upgrade every now and then.
I must say though, Movable Type is definitely not for dummies, it does take a bit of technical know-how to get things done but over time the developers made some of these options a lot easier to deal with. A simple installation of the software takes about twenty minutes, it gets slightly more complicated if you want to design your own templates but not impossible.
This blog will be a way for me to post about anything design-wise, to keep track of what’s going on in the business and to build a showcase online so bear with me while I’ll be adding more content over time. Don’t hesitate to contact me or leave a comment if you have questions about Movable Type, installing your own Movable Type website or if you need a hand.
